Welcome!

My name is Ivan von Greiff. I grew up in the US and am now living in Germany. I moved here to pursue my bachelor/master’s degrees focusing on physical layer communications.

When looking at recent developments, something I find incredible is how the problems we must tackle become so increasingly and rapidly complex, where they consequently necessitate equally complicated problem solving methods. Some of the blog articles I write here touch on different topics, with some focusing on totally different applications. They all, however, share one thing in common: how to find and leverage hidden information to problem-solve.

I write these articles with a few intentions in mind. I write each article in a way that if the younger me were to read it before learning the material, I would be able to understand everything much quicker. I strive to make it as understandable as possible while answering every question which would naturally come up in the reader’s mind. The second intention is to keep a record of problem-solving techniques which I find to be essential for dealing with increasingly complex problems we find today. Third, although the scientific community does a good job holding conferences where people are able share their work and ideas, I find that we can still do more for people around the world to connect, share, and work out our ideas together.

I invite anybody reading to share their thoughts on these articles and contact me, and not shy away from criticisms and potential improvements!
